ASHA Assistants Program

The Assistants Certification Program gives audiology assistants and speech-language pathology assistants (SLPA) the opportunity to become certified practitioners. ASHA certification validates and provides assurance that because of their training and continuous professional development, certificate holders are able to practice at the top of their license.

Kathryn Cook

Kathryn Cook, SLPA

Meet Kathryn Cook, an SLPA in Virginia! Kathryn holds a BS in science from University of Mary Washington and received further SLPA training from Longwood University. She loves organization, and her supervising SLP loves that about her. A bit of advice from Kathryn is “Connect with experienced professionals, whether that be professors or clinicians, and ask lots of questions! This field is comprised of some of the kindest people who are more than willing to share their knowledge and advice.” We totally agree. Thanks for everything you do, Kathryn!
