Using Your ASHA Learning Pass

Finding and Saving Courses

All courses appear on the main catalog page, with the newest at the top. To find courses that are relevant to you, use the search bar at the top of the page. You can also filter the catalog (by profession, work setting, client age, topic area, format, experience, instructional level, and/or Special Interest Group) using the left menu navigation. If you are interested in live webinars in particular, find them on the live webinars subpage of the catalog. You can also see a list of live webinar topics planned for the coming months (but that have not yet been scheduled) on asha.org.

On the dashboard, which is updated several times per month, you can find:

  • popular courses;
  • recently added courses;
  • courses that meet certification requirements for DEI, ethics, and supervision;
  • collections of Key Courses (curated sets of courses on essential topics); and
  • other highlighted content.

Simply use the “Start Course” button to start a course or save it to your My Courses list, where you can easily find it later to take the course at your convenience.

Managing Subscription Settings and Details

Individual Subscribers

If you purchased your own Learning Pass, the Manage My ASHA Learning Pass page in your ASHA account contains important information about your subscription. At any time, you can:

  • see your start and end date (individual Learning Pass subscriptions are for 1 year, beginning on the purchase date);
  • edit your payment card information;
  • disable or enable auto-renewal; and/or
  • cancel your subscription. (Scroll to the bottom to find the cancellation link. Upon cancellation, your subscription will not renew and no future payments will be processed. You can continue to use the Learning Pass—and all its benefits—for the remainder of the access period for which you previously paid. All course completions and certificates will remain in your ASHA Learning Center even after your Learning Pass access ends.)

To get to your Manage My ASHA Learning Pass page, simply log into your ASHA account and under the header "ASHA Learning Pass," click on "Manage My ASHA Learning Pass."

If your subscription lapses and you decide later that you want to renew, simply purchase a new subscription to regain access to the Learning Pass and all its benefits.

Subscribers Who Are Part of a Group

Group ASHA Learning Pass subscriptions are for 1 year, beginning on the purchase date. If you are a member of a group, contact your group leader (the person who purchased the subscription) to:

  • receive an enrollment link to unlock your subscription; and/or
  • find the date your subscription will expire. (Group subscriptions do not auto-renew. If you are a member of a group, contact your group leader to ask them if they will be renewing your subscription.)

Group Subscription Purchasers/Administrators

Enrolling Group Members

After you complete the purchase of a group of subscriptions, you will receive an email with the subject line “Important Link for Group Leaders” from ashaprofdev@asha.org OR “ASHA Learning Pass Activation" from sbabich@asha.org. You may need to check your spam or junk folder for this message. The email will contain an enrollment link labeled “Auto-Enroll Link.” Copy that entire URL and email it to the members of your group.

Can’t find the email? That’s OK. Log into the ASHA Learning Center and go to the "Admin" tab. Find the row that says “ASHA Learning Pass Subscription” and click the “Edit” link. On the “General” tab, copy the entire “Auto-Enroll URL” and email it to the members of your group. (Do not make any changes/edits in this Admin area.)

Each individual needs to click on the auto-enroll link and use the “Start Course” link to unlock their ASHA Learning Pass within 14 days of purchase.

If you will be using one of the subscriptions yourself, you need to click on the auto-enroll link and then the “Start Course” link to unlock your Learning Pass within 14 days. (If you are not planning to use one of the subscriptions yourself, do not click on the auto-enroll link; if you do, it will assign one of the subscriptions to you and cause one of your intended users to be unable to unlock it.)

To see which members of your group have unlocked their subscription, log into the ASHA Learning Center and go to the "Admin" tab. Find the row that says “ASHA Learning Pass Subscription” and click the “Edit” link. Go to the “Products” tab and you will see two numbers under “Enrollment” – the first number is the number of people who have clicked on the auto-enroll link to unlock their subscription; the second number is the total number of subscriptions purchased. To see the names of the people who have unlocked their subscription, click on the first number under “Enrollment.” (Do not make any changes/edits in this Admin area. Do not use the area that says, “Enroll New Learner.” Instead, follow the instructions above to send the self-enrollment link to group members.)

Renewing Group Subscriptions

To see when your group’s subscriptions expire, log into the ASHA Learning Center and go to the "Admin" tab. Find the row that says “ASHA Learning Pass Subscription.” The "Creation Date” is the date of the purchase (and is also the first day the group Learning Pass is active). The group subscriptions will run for 1 year from the creation date (e.g., if the Creation Date is listed as 11/30/23, the subscriptions will expire on 11/30/24).

All subscriptions end 1 year from purchase and are nontransferable and nonrefundable once unlocked. If/when you renew, you can add/remove group members as needed.

To renew a group of 2–20 subscriptions, contact us at 888-498-6699, and to renew a group of 21 or more subscriptions, call 301-296-5620 or email sbabich@asha.org. When you renew, you will receive a new enrollment link that you can send to the same or different individuals.

Making Changes to Group Subscriptions

If you need to change the group leader/administrator of your group, contact us at ashaprofdev@asha.org or 800-498-2071, ext. 8593. Be sure to have your invoice number available.

You can add additional subscriptions to an existing group at any time. Additional subscriptions will end on the same date as the original set of subscriptions; prices cannot be prorated. For groups of 2–20, contact us at 888-498-6699, and for groups of 21 or more, call 301-296-5620 or email sbabich@asha.org. Be sure to have your original invoice number available.

Using Additional Benefits

Individual subscribers are eligible for a discount for ASHA online conferences. Simply add an online conference to your cart in the ASHA Store and be sure you are logged into your ASHA account, and the system will automatically recognize you as a subscriber.

Group members are not eligible for the discount, as they have already received a discount on the subscription purchase price. Unrelated to the Learning Pass, ASHA does offer discounted group rates for online conference registration for groups of 4 or more. Contact us at 888-498-6699 to register a group of 4 or more.

Troubleshooting

If you are having trouble with your subscription, contact us at ashaprofdev@asha.org or 800-498-2071, ext. 8593. Be sure to provide your ASHA account number so we can assist you.

If you are part of a group, also be sure to provide the name or account number of your group leader (the person who purchased the ASHA Learning Pass).
