ASHA’s School Issues Advisory Board (SIAB) - Seeking Solutions for School-based SLPs

ASHA’s School Issues Advisory Board (SIAB) seeks your input and “boots on the ground” perspective to inform future content, resources, and advocacy efforts. SIAB is composed of ASHA members who work in schools and volunteer their time to ensure that voices of SLPs in schools are heard!

ASHA’s SIAB is charged with identifying and monitoring critical issues, forecasting needs and trends, providing expertise in the development of resources, and recommending actions that support and enhance the work of school-based practitioners. Join us to share your perspectives on seeking solutions to address challenges faced by school-based SLPs in your region. We are also interested in hearing your successful strategies to address long-standing school-based issues.

The purpose of these Regional Listening Sessions will be for participants to:

  1. Engage in constructive conversations with ASHA’s SIAB, staff, your region's SEALs Champion, and a SEACDC consultant to share their successes and challenges within their schools.
  2. Advise ASHA SIAB of their regional recommendations/strategies to share with ASHA’s Board of Directors (BOD)
  3. Receive ASHA resources and information to support them in schools.

Notes: CEUS and PDH will not be offered for the Regional Listening Sessions. These sessions will not be recorded.
