Rhode Island Early Intervention Requirements for Practice

Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

Certification/Qualifications

State licensure is issued by Rhode Island Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Additional Requirements

All personnel must have a valid certification in First Aid for children and young adults including management of airway and rescue breathing (CPR)

Continuing Education

Completion of "Introduction to EI" course within six months of date of hire

Speech-Language Pathologist Support Personnel

Registered by Rhode Island Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
