Professional Development Hour (PDH) Information and Important Dates for the 2026 Leadership Development Program (LDP) Cohorts
The Leadership Development Program’s 2027–28 General cohort will open for applications on October 30, 2026. Selection decisions will go out in January 2027, and the cohort will kick off on April 27, 2027 with the in-person workshop at ASHA HQ in Rockville, MD.
Members of general cohort 1 will earn 18 PDHs in 2027 (Year 1). This includes 11.5 PDHs for the in-person Kick Off Workshop at ASHA headquarters, and 1.5 PDHs for each of the five webinars totaling 19 for the year. Members will earn 4.5 PDH’s in 2028 (Year 2) for a total of 23.5 PDH’s over the course of the program.
The cohort kicking off in July 2027 is for healthcare-based audiologists and speech-language pathologists. The application period for healthcare will open in January 2027. It is important to note that the LDP program rotates between healthcare and school’s cohort annually.
