Language Learning and Literacy

Language Learning and Literacy focuses on assessment and intervention related to all aspects of spoken and written language learning for children and adults with developmental language disorder, language impairment, autism spectrum disorder, and other neurodevelopmental and intellectual disorders. 


Neurogenic Communication Disorders

A community for professionals treating neurogenic communication disorders across the lifespan. Topics include cognitive-communication disorders, acquired language disorders, motor speech disorders, and clinical practices in neurological settings.


Voice and Upper Airway

The Voice and Upper Airway community fosters discussion on voice, upper airway, and gender-related communication, aiming to connect clinicians and consumers with emerging developments. It encourages topics from professional, clinical, educational, and scientific perspectives, including voice perception, anatomy, disorders, performance, airway function, and gender-related vocal adaptations.


Stuttering, Cluttering, and Fluency

A community for professionals working with fluency disorders across the lifespan. Topics include assessment and intervention for stuttering and cluttering, evidence-based treatment approaches, and practice across multiple settings.


Craniofacial and Velopharyngeal Disorders

A community for professionals serving individuals with craniofacial anomalies and velopharyngeal disorders. Topics include cleft palate management, interprofessional care coordination, surgical considerations, and speech-language intervention approaches.


Hearing and Balance Sciences: Research and Clinical Applications

A community for professionals engaged in hearing and balance research and clinical practice. Topics include vestibular disorders, hearing science applications, research methodologies, and translating research findings into clinical practice.


Auditory (Re)habilitation

This community is for audiologists and speech-language pathologists who specialize in auditory (re)habilitation across the lifespan, offering a space for networking, idea exchange, and meaningful professional collaboration.


Public Health in CSD

A community for professionals interested in public health in communication sciences and disorders. Topics include population health, health promotion, disease prevention, health disparities, community-based interventions, and health policy advocacy.


Pediatric Hearing and Hearing Disorders

A community for audiologists and speech-language pathologists working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Topics include early identification, intervention strategies, family support, educational planning, and technology applications.


Issues in Higher Education

This community brings together members with shared interests in faculty development, academic leadership, curriculum design, research training, and other topics related to higher education in communication sciences and disorders. It serves as a collaborative space for sharing resources, exchanging ideas, and supporting the advancement of teaching, learning, and scholarship across diverse academic contexts.


Supervision and Administration

A community for professionals engaged in clinical supervision and administrative roles in speech-language pathology and audiology. Topics include supervision best practices, clinical education, program management, and professional development.


Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

A community for professionals supporting individuals who use AAC and communication technologies. Topics include AAC assessment, device selection, implementation strategies, training approaches, and emerging technologies across the lifespan.


Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders

A community for professionals specializing in normal swallowing and swallowing disorders. Topics include dysphagia assessment, intervention techniques, instrumental evaluation, research findings, and practice across populations and settings.


Culture, Language, and Identity

A community for professionals committed to culturally responsive practice in communication sciences and disorders. Topics include multicultural assessment, bilingual service delivery, cultural competency, health disparities, and inclusive practice approaches.


Geriatric Practices

A community for professionals providing services to older adults. Topics include normal aging, age-related changes, issues for service provision in various settings, reimbursement advocacy, dementia care, interprofessional geriatric team approaches, and communication and swallowing disorders in older adults.


School-Based Professionals

A community for speech-language pathologists, assistants, and audiologists working in educational settings. Topics include IEP development, classroom collaboration, evidence-based school practice, student outcomes, and educational policy considerations.


Global Issues in Communication Sciences

This community provides a platform for exploring global and cross-cultural issues related to communication, language, speech, hearing, and swallowing. It fosters dialogue and collaboration to promote equity, access, and culturally responsive practices in communication sciences and related disorders across diverse populations and settings.


Telepractice and Technology

Connect with fellow audiologists and SLPs through discussions and resources focused on where innovation meets daily practice in telepractice and emerging technology trends.


Speech and Hearing Science

This community provides a platform for sharing advancements and information in the area of speech and hearing science, including associated instrumentation and technology, as it applies to clinical practice, research and education in speech-language pathology and audiology.


Counseling

The Counseling community promotes counseling education, research, and practice for clinicians, researchers, assistants, and students to optimize treatment outcomes and equip clinicians with knowledge and skills to support clients/patients/students and their families.
