New Information Related to Subject Codes

As providers, you are using the Subject Codes when registering a course for ASHA CEUs, and you are selecting a Subject Code that best describes the course’s overall subject matter and scope. If more than 50% of the informational content falls into one topic area, then you are using that Subject Code to identify the course.
A recent review of the Subject Codes by ASHA CE staff, ASHA Ethics staff, and the Continuing Education Board (CEB) prompted two updates:
- With the increased understanding of the importance of mindfulness and self-care for our practitioners, the following bulleted item was added to Service Delivery Associated With Speech, Language, Hearing and Related Disorders – 7010:

- Mindfulness and self-care for the practitioner
- With the revisions to the ASHA Code of Ethics, one bulleted item was modified in Ethics and Ethical Decision Making – 7070 in the following way:

- Interpretation and enforcement of ASHA’s Code of Ethics
