Professional Development Hour (PDH) Information and Important Dates for the 2026 Leadership Development Program (LDP) Cohorts

LDP General Cohort

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Leadership Development Program’s 2026-27 General Program cohort must be rescheduled. The decision to make this change has been made while carefully considering the quality of the learning experience of ASHA LDP participants and striving to ensure the best possible environment to enhance their leadership development skills.   

Applicants to this cohort need not apply once the program is rescheduled. After the application review process is complete, selected candidates may choose the option to defer their enrollment to a future LDP General program. ASHA will announce new dates of the next scheduled LDP General program as soon as they are available.    

LDP Schools Cohort – Application submissions will be accepted January 27 – March 3, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Members will earn 18 PDHs in 2026 (Year 1). This includes 12.0 PDHs for the in-person Kick Off Workshop at ASHA headquarters, and 1.5 PDHs for each of the four webinars. Members will earn 3.0 PDH’s in 2027 (Year 2) for a total of 21.0 PDH’s over the course of the program.

The cohort kicking off in July 2026 is for schools-based audiologists and speech-language pathologists. However, it is important to note that the LDP program rotates between a healthcare and schools' cohort annually.
