Liaisons with the Vice President for Government Affairs and Public Policy

Charge

Assist the Governmental Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) Board and the GAPP cluster in determining current economic issues and developing goals as related to audiology and speech-language pathology services specifically covered and reimbursed by Medicaid.

Seven members, at least one from audiology and SLP.

Commitments/Obligations

​Two in-person meetings annually including one at the ASHA National Office and one at the ASHA Convention. Ten additional conference calls per year.

Desired Service Qualifications/Experiences

Knowledge and understanding of Medicaid, with specific understanding of Medicaid for children.
