Liaisons with the Vice President for Planning
Develop, monitor, and recommend Association policies and actions related to international issues, and facilitate ASHA's strategic planning and engagement with speech, language, and hearing organizations worldwide to promote scientific and resource exchange to improve the science and practice of the professions. This charge involves establishing relationships with speech, language, and hearing organizations around the world and identifying issues of importance both to members in the United States and its territories and those living outside of the United States.
Individuals who represent the global diversity, knowledge, and experience in the varied regions of the globe and includes 10 members with at least two audiologists, two international affiliates or two members living outside of the United States or its territories, and one student member of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA).
Terms of service for members is three (3) years. The chair will have completed at least one (1) year of service as a member and will serve as chair for one (1) year while the student member (NSSLHA) will serve a two (2) year term.
Members will have experience and expertise working with different countries so that the full compliment of membership will have knowledge across as many regions of the globes as possible.
