Apply for ASHA’s 2025 Hill Day

May 8, 2025

Join ASHA Advocacy for Hill Day 2025! This November 19, members of ASHA’s Committee of Ambassadors, Political Action Committee (PAC) Board, and Government Affairs and Public Policy Board will take to Capitol Hill, and we’re looking for more audiologists, SLPs, assistants, and students to join in on the advocacy. Applications are open now through May 30, 2025.

ASHA Advocacy will not only schedule meetings and coordinate the day for Hill Day advocates but also prepare advocates with tools and resources to support these important conversations.

Who

ASHA members, ASHA-certified assistants, and National NSSLHA members are encouraged to apply. We’re looking for representation from across the country, professions, and practice settings. However, there are a limited number of spots available so not all applicants will be accepted.

What

A full day of meeting with your legislators on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. including a virtual presentation by ASHA staff to prepare you with facts and strategies to ensure productive meetings. Plus, we welcome Hill Day advocates to attend the ASHA-PAC reception on Wednesday evening to meet and mingle with your fellow advocates.

When

Wednesday, November 19, 2025. If you’re planning on attending the ASHA Convention, this is a great opportunity to enhance your Convention experience. However, convention attendance is not required.

Where

Washington, D.C.

Applications must be submitted by May 30. Acceptance notifications will be sent out by June 27.

Connecting with your legislators goes beyond writing a letter or making a call. Conversations in meetings build relationships and open legislators' eyes to your needs. ASHA’s Hill Day is a vital aspect of our advocacy, and you can help us make this the biggest Hill Day ASHA’s ever hosted and broaden our impact!
