Under current audiology, speech-language pathology, and assistants certification standards, requirements are in effect for ASHA-certified individuals who supervise students and/or act as CF mentors. If you plan to serve as a supervisor or mentor for purposes of ASHA certification, please be sure that you first meet the supervision requirements listed below for the current certification standards applicable to you.

You can check your supervision/mentorship status on the certification verification page. To do so, you will need to provide your first and last name and either your ASHA account number or the state where you live.
If your status shows that you have completed the requirements, you will see: "[Your Name] has met the 2020 ASHA certification standards for providing clinical instruction and supervision to individuals preparing for ASHA certification.”
If your status shows that you have not completed the requirements, you will see: "[Your Name] has not yet met the 2020 ASHA certification standards for providing clinical instruction and supervision to individuals preparing for ASHA certification.”
All ASHA-certified individuals who plan to serve as a supervisor or mentor for purposes of ASHA certification must attest to the one-time requirement of completing 9 months of clinical experience post-certification and two hours of professional development in the area of supervision .
