ASHA Pathway: The ASHA CCC is accepted as proof of meeting some requirements for licensure for both professions.
Audiologist
Audiologists may dispense hearing aids under an audiology license.
Speech-Language Pathologist

Continuing Education: 30 hours every three years
ASLP-IC: North Carolina is a member state of the Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact (ASLP-IC). Information on the current status of the ASLP-IC can be found on the ASLP-IC website.
Telepractice: Providers must hold a state license and adhere to the same requirements as in-person practice. Notification of telepractice services shall be provided to the patient and guardian if the patient is a minor. The notification shall include the right to refuse telepractice services and options for alternate services delivery.
Temporary Practice for Out-of-State Providers: No provisions.
Audiologist: Special Services Personnel

Continuing Education: Audiologist: 7.5 units of renewal credit every five years; speech-language pathologist: 30 hours every three years
