Thank you for contacting the ASHA Ethics Office regarding a possible violation of ASHA's Code of Ethics or Assistants Code of Conduct. This is confirmation that your complaint form, including any supplemental information you attached to the complaint form (collectively, the "Complaint"), has been sent to the Ethics Office for review. If the Complaint meets the ASHA Board of Ethics' jurisdictional and procedural requirements, a copy of the Complaint will be sent to the individual against whom the Complaint was filed and that individual will have an opportunity to respond.
ASHA certification was created to distinguish audiology and speech-language pathology practitioners who have met rigorous academic and professional standards and who maintain high standards of practice. Please know the Board of Ethics is committed to serving the public trust in this regard and it has developed practices and procedures to address complaints or inquiries received about ASHA-certified practitioners. For more information about the complaint process, you can review the Practices and Procedures of the Board of Ethics.
The Ethics Office will contact you with any questions or if any additional information is needed regarding the Complaint. If you have any questions regarding the complaint process, please feel free to contact the Ethics Office at ethics@asha.org.
