This interactive map provides information on the median caseload sizes reported by ASHA certified, school-based SLPs in response to the 2024 ASHA Schools Survey. State-level caseload guidance and the number of school-based SLPs in each state is included. ASHA conducts the Schools Survey every two years to gather information on professional issues related to school-based services. In each survey, a random sample of approximately 8,500 ASHA-certified, school-based speech-language pathologists are selected to participate. States shaded in gray indicate that an inadequate number of responses were received to report the data.
Information regarding each state's caseload guidance [PDF] was gathered separately from each state and is not part of the Schools Survey results.
