The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) together support May 1, 2019, as the official launch date for International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) implementation in the United States. The announcement was made at the Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE 2018) in Washington DC.
