The ASHA Web site is built using technologies to maximize speed, security and usability for our visitors. Why does the text look so small/large?
For some visitors, our Web site may appear to have a different size font than they are used to. If this is the case, your Web browser might be configured to display text in a larger or smaller font than normal. To adjust the font size in most browsers, look for a text size option under the "View" menu.
How do I download PDFs?
ASHA publishes many documents, such as journal articles, in Portable Document Format (PDF). This allows these documents to be downloaded and printed with their original formatting intact. These files require the Adobe Acrobat® Reader (Version 5.0 or higher) to be viewed and printed. This reader is free and may be downloaded from the Adobe Web site.
How do I download/view PowerPoint files?
ASHA occasionally provides copies of PowerPoint presentations on the Web site. If you do not have Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your computer, you can still view these documents by using the PowerPoint Viewer. This software is free and may be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site.

Why can't I find what I am looking for?
Due to the large volume of content available on the ASHA Web site, it can sometimes be difficult to find what you are looking for. There are several tools available to assist you in finding what you are looking for such as the ASHA.org search engine, topic index and a search engine for journal articles.

How do I register to get access to member content on the ASHA Web site?
Web site visitors who wish to create a username and password for asha.org are required to supply a valid e-mail address when they register. This is done for several reasons:
- Allows you to receive password reminders via e-mail if you happen to forget your password;
- Allows you to receive subscriptions to notifications for various portions of the ASHA Web site;
- Enables ASHA to contact you for administrative purposes relative to your Web account and/or changes to ASHA's Web-based services.
ASHA will not share your e-mail address with other companies. Communications considered to be member benefits (such as electronic newsletters) may be sent to you on an opt-out basis. All other communications will be strictly opt-in and will require action on your part in order to subscribe to them.
You can register your account by going to our online form and enter your ASHA account number (included on the ASHA membership card and most correspondence from ASHA) and last name to begin the registration process. NSSLHA members should use their NSSLHA account number. Once completed you will be able to log into the ASHA.org Web site.
Why does the login screen keeps appearing when I try to login?
If the login screen keeps appearing when you are attempting to login to ASHA Web site, check to make sure your cookies are enabled.
What is my password?
To ensure your privacy, we do not keep passwords on file. To retrieve a lost password, please visit the Forgot Password page. You will need to enter either your e-mail address or ASHA account number. If either matches an account in the ASHA database we will send a message to your e-mail address with instructions on how to reset the password for that account.
How do I change my password or username?
To change your password or username, visit the Update Account page.
I've tried using the "forgotten your password" link however I never received the e-mail with instructions on how to set up a new password.
First you should check with your IT/Technical Support group to ensure e-mails from firstname.lastname@example.org are not being filtered by the server at your company/ISP. If no filters are in place, please fill out this form for help.
