Funding for audiology and speech-language pathology services
in schools:
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
provides a free, appropriate, public education for all children
with disabilities, including speech, language, and hearing
disorders. Part B funds cover children ages 3-21. Services are
provided as outlined in the Individualized Education Program
(IEP). Part C funds cover infants from birth through age two and
services are provided as outlined in the Individualized Family
Service Plan (IFSP).
