Heart disease is the #1 cause of death for women— a fact most women don't know. Every year since 1984, more women than men have died of heart disease, and yet women are more likely to be misdiagnosed.
Listen to Your Heart has been organized by ASHA as a benefit to our members. We wish to convey to every one of our members that ASHA truly cares about you as a person — the professional YOU who serves those with communication disorders tirelessly and from the heart, as well as the personal YOU. For our members who are women, we want you to be heart healthy so you can continue doing your wonderful, valuable work for a long time to come. For our members who are men, we hope that you will share the knowledge and information you collect on this subject with the women in your lives.
