This webinar discusses evaluation and treatment strategies for adults with self-perceived hearing concerns after a head injury, despite normal (or near normal) audiometric thresholds, with a focus on veterans. The webinar reviews comorbid conditions associated with self-perceived hearing difficulties and how treatment of the comorbidities can improve self-perceived hearing ability. The presenter discusses the current gaps and debates in the literature to highlight questions that need further exploration to provide the best, evidence-based hearing health care.

Presenter Information

David Jedlicka, AuD, CCC-A, is an advanced practice audiologist at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, specializing in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of auditory processing disorders in veterans. Dr. Jedlicka also has a clinical interest in diagnostics, amplification, vestibular assessment, and osseointegrated devices. In addition to his work at the VA, Dr. Jedlicka is an adjunct faculty member in the University of Pittsburgh's doctor of audiology program. Dr. Jedlicka is also currently pursuing his PhD in audiology from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Jedlicka is a former president of the Association of VA Audiologists.
