How is Evidence-Based Practice applied in communication sciences and disorders?
Evidence-based practice offers clinicians the opportunity to support their treatment plans with scientific evidence. The evidence-based practice approach assures administrators, payers, and consumers of high-quality care. ASHA is embarking on a partnership program with members aimed at identifying the highest levels of evidence available in every area of clinical practice. Ultimately, this effort will highlight treatment approaches that are most critically in need of research that supports their effectiveness. More information on this program will be available in future communications.
