Better Hearing and Speech Month (BHSM) May 2003, with the theme of "Communication for Life," will kick off with a special BHSM section in the April 1 issue of The ASHA Leader. Look for your color poster in the center of the publication to hang in your classroom, waiting room, or clinic.
Also highlighted in this issue will be an all-new, full-color children's activity book that shows elementary school-aged children the importance of good speech and hearing. ASHA members will be able to request up to 25 free copies while supplies last. The activity book will also be available online for you to download and print.
Another resource audiologists and speech-language pathologists can access will be a free screensaver that will be available through the ASHA Web site.
Stay in step with what your colleagues are doing through ASHA's online forums—and share your own ideas. A link to the forums is included on the BHSM section of ASHA's Web site. E-mail your ideas to bhsm@asha.org. Some of the best ideas will be featured in upcoming issues of The ASHA Leader .
