Thank you for publishing the article, "Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease: Serious Illness Potential Often Misunderstood," in The ASHA Leader. I found the article very informative and helpful in understanding the causes and treatment options available for both pediatric and adult patients.
I believe it is important to publish articles like this for many reasons. First, it keeps the practicing clinician up-to-date on important clinical issues that might otherwise be overlooked in our day-to-day practices. In addition, I found this article of particular interest because it helped me organize my thinking regarding the various treatment protocols that are associated with GERD and in understanding the medical management options available to our patients.
