State Associations Renew Recognition at Fall CSAP Meeting

The Council of State Association Presidents (CSAP) held their annual fall meeting the day before ASHA's Convention. ASHA President, Dolores Battle, and Vice President for Governmental and Social Policies, Catherine Gottfred, presented ASHA recognition renewal certificates to the following state speech-language-hearing associations: 

  • Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Inc.
  • Massachusetts Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Inc.
  • Michigan Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Minnesota Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Mississippi Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Inc.
  • Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Inc.
  • Nebraska Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Nevada Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Inc.
  • New Hampshire Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Inc.
  • New Jersey Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • New Mexico Speech-Language and Hearing Association

The agreement signed between these associations and ASHA states that "the cornerstones of this relationship are mutual respect, interdependence, and shared responsibilities in promoting and advocating for the collective interests of the professions of audiology, speech-language pathology, and speech, language and hearing research, their members, and consumers of their services." State associations renew their ASHA recognition on a rotational basis every five years. For additional information on state association recognition renewal, contact Eileen Crowe, ASHA's Director of State Association Relations, via e-mail at ecrowe@asha.org or by phone at 800-498-2071, ext. 4221.
