1. The two-tiered governance structure (Legislative Council and Executive Board) will be retained.
2. Direct election of the officers of the Association by the members will be retained.
3. The Legislative Council will remain the same size, at this time.
4. ASHA members elected from each state will be the basis for representation on the Legislative Council. International representation and NSSLHA representatives will be elected by the respective members.
5. The Chair of the Legislative Council (ASHA President) selects the co-floor managers.
6. The Legislative Council continues to approve policies affecting the membership of the Association and sets membership dues.
7. Current positions of Executive Board members serving with portfolio will be retained. (See #5 in Appendix C for details on adding one new Vice Presidential position)
8. The Executive Board continues to meet up to four times per year to act on Association business.
