Professional Bio
I have served over 30 years as a Speech Language Pathologist for Missoula County Public Schools. I hold Hanen certification, have four ACE awards and am a University of Montana doctoral student.
As a founding member of several school district committees, I helped design the current preschool program, write the curriculum and start the library.
A longtime Montana Speech Hearing and Language Association area representative, I currently serve as State Education Advocacy Leader for Montana. I obtained salary supplements for my district and developed materials for obtaining supplements in other districts. I took a leadership role in helping to establish the new University of Montana Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders, advocating at the levels of Administration, Faculty Senate, Board of Regents and Legislature.

Professional Bio
As a professional, Shelley Marie is constantly seeking to improve the services she provides to her clients. Her eclectic approach utilizes complementary therapies: craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, neuro-developmental treatment, infant massage and aquatic therapy, as well as more traditional approaches to treatment of speech, language and swallowing deficits. She manages her own private practice in southwest Montana. Shelley Marie provides services to a variety of populations including pediatric (birth-to-three), adult, and geriatric patients in a variety of settings, NICU, acute, subacute, inpatient and outpatient rehab, clinic based, long term care and home health. Shelley Marie firmly believes that the time has come to "pay forward" to others in the profession and finds that being a member of the ASHA advisory council offers her this opportunity.
