Professional Bio

Lisa Keane is a speech language pathologist with 18 years of experience working in Broward County Public Schools. She holds the position of Speech and Language Program Specialist, providing support and training to speech language pathologists. She has participated on district committees dealing with issues related to caseload/workload, critical shortage and services provided to private school students with disabilities. On the state level, Lisa has participated on committees responsible for updating the Florida Department of Education Speech-Language Pathology subject area exam. In addition to her schools experience, Lisa also has many years of experience in part-time clinical settings, providing speech language services to children and young adults.

Lisa is a member of the Florida Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association and the Florida Speech Language Hearing Association.

Professional Bio

Wren S. Newman, SLP-D, CCC-SLP is Associate Dean for the Programs in Speech-Language and Communication Disorders at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). She is responsible for the administration of the master's program to students through live and distance deliveries in Florida and across the country. She was named a Fellow of ASHA in 2006.

Dr. Newman has presented at the state and national level in the area of supervision and ethics. She has reviewed grant applications for the ASHA Foundation Graduate Student Scholarship program and has assisted in numerous fundraising activities for the ASHA Foundation. She serves on the Board of Directors of Easter Seals, South Florida.
