Professional Bio
Dr. Ferre received her PhD in Audiology from Northwestern University in 1984 and has been on the faculty of Northern Illinois University and Northwestern University. She has published numerous articles in refereed journals and presented extensively on CAPD. Her works include Processing Power—A Guide to CAPD Assessment and Treatment, The M3 Model for Treating Auditory Disorders, and The Differential Screening Test for Processing as well as several chapters on central auditory processing. Dr. Ferre is in private practice in the Chicago area providing evaluation/treatment of central auditory processing disorder among children/adults. She is a Fellow of the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 1997 recipient of the Illinois SLHA Clinical Achievement Award, and 2007 recipient of ISHA's Honors of the Association.

Professional Bio
Willard C. Hooks, Jr. earned his bachelor's degree and master's degree in speech pathology from Louisiana Tech University. He earned a master's degree in audiology from Michigan State University (MSU). In 2003 he earned a doctorate degree from MSU, with an emphasis in Audiology and Neuroscience.
In 2006 Hooks was appointed as a half-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Saint Xavier University, where he has taught courses in Audiology and Neural Bases of Communication Disorders. Dr. Hooks also has a private practice.
Hooks has co-authored papers in hearing aid research and electrophysiology. His professional memberships include the Illinois Academy of Audiology, Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Society for Neuroscience, International Society of Audiology, and International Brain Research Organization.
