DSM-5: Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
ASHA submitted comments during the three open comment periods provided by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) for the proposed content of the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).
The DSM, published by the APA, is the standard classification of mental disorders used by a wide variety of professionals in clinical and community settings in the U.S. and other countries. The expected publication date for DSM-5 is May 2013.
