The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has developed a Medicare Audiology Services page on its Web site. There is a brief introduction of the Medicare audiology benefit and an overview of audiology coverage. Links are provided for audiology references in the Benefit Policy Manual and the Claims Processing Manual as well as links for transmittals describing recent decisions regarding audiology coverage. Audiologists can link to the statutory Medicare definitions of services including audiology and relevant sections of the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations.
