President Obama has nominated Michael Yudin to be Assistant Secretary for the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) at the U.S. Department of Education. The nomination now awaits Senate confirmation.
Since August 2012, Mr. Yudin has led OSERS as Acting Assistant Secretary, working to promote inclusion, ensure equity, and create opportunity to improve results and outcomes for children and adults with disabilities. He previously served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education, where he also served as Acting Assistant from June 2011 to May 2012.
