Yudin Appointed Acting Assistant Secretary for Special Ed/Rehab

Michael K. Yudin now serves as acting assistant secretary for special education and rehabilitative services, U.S. Department of Education. He replaces Alexa Posny, who received Senate confirmation for the position October 5, 2009. Yudin most recently served as the principal deputy assistant secretary for the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE). In this role, he served as the principal advisor to the assistant secretary on policy and operations affecting all grant programs administered by OESE. Yudin helped lead the Department's efforts on Elementary and Secondary Education Act flexibility and served as acting assistant secretary for elementary and secondary education from June 2011 to May 2012.
