To further assist members in the implementation of the 2011 IDEA Part C (early intervention program for infants and toddlers with disabilities) final regulations, ASHA has prepared issue briefs on select topics under Part C of IDEA that impact ASHA members. The first set of issue briefs that are now available to members are on the following topics: Personnel Qualifications, Transition, Referral Timelines, Service Coordination, and Natural Environment. ASHA will continue to develop and release additional technical assistance materials, including other issue briefs on topics to further assist members in the implementation of these regulations.
Visit ASHA's IDEA Action Center for more information on IDEA.
