Action Alert: Tell Congress to Address Cap on Medicare Therapy Services

Congress is currently debating numerous proposals to address the nation's debt ceiling prior to the August 2 deadline. While the final outcome is unclear, at least one prominent proposal is likely to include a 2–3 year solution for the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR), commonly known as the "doc fix." We need your help to ensure that the cap on Medicare outpatient therapy services is also addressed!

Historically, Congress has extended the exceptions process for Medicare outpatient therapy caps at the same time as the SGR. With the current legislative environment, it is imperative that they continue to address both issues simultaneously.

Please contact your members of Congress and urge them to address the cap on Medicare therapy services at the same time and for the same duration as the SGR. This is the only way to ensure continued high-quality, ongoing treatment and remove the uncertainty of care for both therapy providers and recipients.
