Frequently Asked Questions: Gift to the Grad
Do I have to submit a Gift to the Grad (GTTG) application?
No, you are automatically granted the Gift to the Grad when you submit an ASHA membership and certification application between May 1 and August 31.
What is the difference between the GTTG and the NSSLHA-to-ASHA Conversion Discount?
The GTTG is an ASHA benefit that gives students entering the profession up to 20 months of ASHA membership for the price of 12 months—an extended period of membership benefits. The NSSLHA-to-ASHA Conversion Discount is an ASHA benefit for students who maintain 2 consecutive years of national membership with NSSLHA. Students who qualify for the Conversion Discount receive a reduction of $225 off the initial dues and fees of ASHA membership and certification. A student with the Conversion Discount may also qualify for the GTTG to receive an additional 20 months of membership at the time of application. That is a savings of $450.
Are students who graduate with a doctoral degree eligible for the GTTG?
