Assessment and Management of Voice in Transgender Individuals

Speech-language pathologists working with both adults and young people are now receiving an increasing number of requests from transgender people for assistance to modify their voice and communication characteristics. This live text-based chat will focus on knowledge and skills that are required to work successfully with transgender clients. More specifically, this chat will offer insights into the assessment tools and the voice training methods that are most effective for this population. The chat will also address medical or surgical interventions effective for voice modification in transgender people. The following panelists will be available to answer questions:
