Convention Hotel Reservations

Hotel reservations and Convention registration may be completed in one easy online process, or separately if you choose. You will need to sign in to ASHA's website first.

To reserve only housing by phone, you may call 877-585-6005 or 703-449-6418. Room types and rollaway bed requests are not guaranteed. Taxes and fees are subject to change. Some hotels may charge an early departure fee.

ASHA Hotels

View a per night pricing guide [PDF], an overview of the amenties [PDF] offered, and a Google map of the 2013 ASHA hotels. The hotels are concentrated in the South Loop and Streeterville areas of Chicago, with convenient access to restaurants, shopping, and sight seeing destinations, and are a short shuttle ride away from McCormick Place.

Shuttles

Shuttles will operate Wednesday, November 13, through Saturday, November 16, to make travel between McCormick Place and the ASHA hotels convenient and easy. Nearly everyone will need to use the shuttle service this year since only one ASHA hotel is located near the convention center in Chicago. The shuttle schedule and route information will be available in late October.

This year you'll need to present a shuttle pass to board the buses. When you reserve your room through ASHA you'll receive a complimentary shuttle pass, which is a great incentive to book your room at an ASHA hotel. You'll receive your complimentary pass when you check in to your hotel. Shuttle passes will be issued based upon room occupancy, so when you make your reservation please take care to select the correct room type (i.e., double/double = two people, triple = three people, etc).

Passes may also be purchased for $40 at Registration (McCormick Place, Level 3 Lobby) for those who are staying elsewhere and wish to take advantage of the ASHA shuttles. Keep in mind that the shuttle routes and stops will only service hotels in the ASHA block.

ADA-accessible shuttle service for those with mobility issues will be available for all ASHA hotels.

Date Availability

If you are reserving a room online and find that a hotel appears to be sold out, it may be that rooms are not available for the entire range of dates you have selected. This sometimes happens when attendees try to arrive early in the week or stay later after the Convention has concluded. You may wish to try adjusting your dates to see if the other dates you need are available at your desired hotel. If they are, you can make a reservation for the available dates and e-mail ashahousing@jspargo.com with your reservation number and the additional dates requested. Or if you would like to speak with someone directly, you may call Customer Service at 877-585-6005 or 703-449-6418.

Wait Listing a Hotel

Attendees also have the option of adding their name to a wait list if a first choice hotel is no longer available for their selected dates. In order to be added to a hotel's wait list, you must make a valid reservation at an available hotel for your desired dates. You will be notified if a room becomes available at your first choice hotel.

Confirmations

You will receive an acknowledgement of your reservation via e-mail. Please print or save the acknowledgement for your records. This is the only acknowledgement you will receive. If you have questions regarding your reservation or you do not receive an e-mail acknowledgement, please contact the ASHA Registration and Housing Center at ashahousing@jspargo.com or 877-585-6005 or 703-449-6418.

Cancellations or Changes to Reservations

All changes and cancellations must be submitted online or in writing via e-mail to ashahousing@jspargo.com by 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time, Wednesday, October 23, 2013. After this date, you must contact your assigned hotel directly. If you need to cancel your reservation(s), you must do so at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to your scheduled check-in date. If you do not cancel your reservation(s) seventy-two (72) hours prior to your scheduled check-in date, your first night's deposit will not be refunded.

Cancelling your hotel reservation does not automatically cancel your convention registration. To cancel your registration, please contact asharegistration@jspargo.com no later than Friday, November 8, 2013.

ADA Hotel Rooms

All official 2013 ASHA Convention hotels comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you need an accessible hotel room, please complete the reservations process online and select "Handicap Accessible" at the step where you may indicate room preferences. A representative from ASHA's housing company will contact you to discuss your room arrangements. Members are also welcome to contact Customer Service by e-mail at ashahousing@jspargo.com or by phone at 877-585-6005 or 703-449-6418 if they wish to discuss their needs with someone directly.

Why Book a Room Through ASHA?

In addition to the many benefits to booking a hotel room within the ASHA block for both members and the association, staying at an ASHA hotel allows you to take advantage of our convenient shuttle service.

Unauthorized Housing Providers

Sometimes, ASHA is alerted that an unauthorized housing company is contacting our exhibitors or attendees to inform them that they can offer less expensive room rates at hotels in our block. J. Spargo & Associates is the only official housing company for ASHA. If you receive a call or e-mail from any company that is not our official housing provider, please contact us immediately at convention@asha.org.

Looking for a Roommate?

Connect with other members who are looking for a hotel room to share and/or a roommate on ASHA's Roommate Forum.
