How to Apply for Certification in Audiology
Beginning January 1, 2012, applicants for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) must submit an application under the 2012 Standards for Certification in Audiology and are required to have a doctoral degree.

To begin the application process for your certification, you must first submit these items together:

Supplemental Documents
Before completing the certification process, you must also submit the following:
- Passing Praxis exam scores (sent directly to ASHA from ETS)
- Official doctoral transcript* which verifies the date and degree awarded (may arrive directly from institution) or a letter from the university registrar verifying completion of requirements for the degree
- Disclosure documents: If you checked yes to a disclosure question on the application, please review the requirements for certified copies of court or other legal documents.
*Applicants applying more than three years after graduation from a CAA-accredited program must submit official undergraduate transcripts reflecting all coursework completed for certification. Internationally educated applicants must submit an original evaluated transcript.
Certification Process
Reviewing a completed application and supplemental documentation will usually take 4–6 weeks. You may submit an application anytime after you have completed the necessary coursework and received the required doctoral degree.
