About the Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) Education Survey

The CSD Education Survey is a joint effort between the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CAPCSD) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). The survey is fielded annually to over 300 institutions offering undergraduate through PhD academic degree programs and collects data on CSD education including

• applications
• admissions
• enrollment
• graduation
• first employment
• time to degree
• grants and contracts

Benefits

• Access to national and state aggregate data.
• Visibility for academic programs in EdFind, ASHA's online directory of institutions offering CSD degree programs.
• Identification of trends in CSD education [PDF] and formulation of strategies beneficial to CSD departments, both nationally and internationally.

Schedule

• The annual survey typically opens in July and closes in October.
• Data collected is for the most recently completed academic year.
• Reports on the data collected are published annually in June.
