Withhold or Withdraw an Accreditation StatusThe CAA will withhold or withdraw an accreditation status from a program when the CAA has determined that the program was not in compliance or had not made sufficient progress towards compliance to meet all Standards for Accreditation. A decision to withhold or withdraw an accreditation status, including candidacy, is appealable and is considered an adverse action. A program sustains its current accreditation status until all further consideration and appeal options have been exhausted.
The CAA publishes the basis for the adverse actions, indicating the standards cited, for pending and final adverse decisions. Pending Adverse Action-Candidacy
