Trauma-Informed Care: Perspectives from Education, Social Work, and Communication Disorders

This Live Online Chat will discuss best practices for populations that have suffered trauma such as (a) individuals experiencing/witnessing domestic and sexual violence in international settings; (b) refugees from geographic areas experiencing conflict; (c) those currently undergoing adverse childhood experiences; or (d) immigrants dealing with deportation, detention, or family separation. Experts will suggest recommendations for how professionals can simultaneously provide treatment and be sensitive to those who are facing acute trauma.
