Format(s): On Demand Webinar, On Demand Webinar (Group)
ASHA CEUs:

The reimbursement landscape for SLP services continues to focus on functional and meaningful outcomes rather than the quantity of services rendered. This webinar will help SLPs stay current on changes that affect coding, billing, and documentation. Participants will receive the latest coding and reimbursement updates that impact SLPs as well as tips on how to use Current Procedural Terminology (CPT codes), the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, and the International Classification of Diseases, 10th revision (ICD-10). Health care payment systems – such as Medicare Parts A, B, and C; Medicaid; and private health insurance – may differ among practice settings (e.g., acute care, skilled nursing care, outpatient). We will define and differentiate these payment systems and answer participants’ questions.

From Volume to Value: New Medicare Quality Reporting Requirements in 2019 (MIPS)
Format(s): On Demand Webinar
ASHA CEUs:

Audiologists and SLPs have had a brief reprieve from Medicare quality reporting requirements, previously known as the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS), since the program sunset in 2016. However, we soon – as early as 2019 – will be included in a new, more complex quality reporting program known as the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). With four performance categories potentially applicable, it is critical that audiologists and SLPs gain an understanding of MIPS, what will be required of them, and how reimbursement under Medicare may be affected. This webinar will explain the MIPS program to ensure you are ready to participate.

Telepractice can be a useful service delivery across the lifespan. The articles explore service provision with both school-aged and adult neurogenic populations. The first article offers an overview of considerations when beginning school-based services, including a review of evidence related to telepractice and other methods of delivery, technological and legal considerations, and resources for effective implementation. The second article describes a telepractice aphasia group, considerations for implementation, and outcomes of the program.
