This webinar will address the daunting transition from school to college, career, and community for students with disabilities. The speaker will identify and discuss factors that predict a successful transition. She will then discuss examples of strategies that professionals can embed in intervention sessions as well as in classrooms – beginning as early as elementary school – to increase the likelihood of a successful transition after high school graduation.

Learning Objectives:
You will be able to :

  • list factors that predict successful transition to college, career, and community
  • discuss the impacts of high unemployment rates among young adults with disabilities
  • identify strategies to build workplace readiness skills in intervention sessions and in the classroom
  • identify community-based instruction opportunities for your students
  • What is a webinar?

Webinars are slide-based presentation and question-and-answer sessions that you can watch live at a pre-scheduled date and time or on-demand at your leisure after the live event occurs (see live date for this webinar above).
