A Taste of the Core: Building CCSS-Aligned Vocabulary Skills (On Demand Webinar)
This course is an exclusive ASHA member benefit
Many school-based SLPs are asked to address and measure students’ progress toward meeting Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and/or state-specific standards in addition to being held accountable for identifying and meeting IEP goals. This course – a sample of the practical content offered at ASHA’s Schools Connect conference – will provide participants with functional strategies to help elementary-age students build a vigorous vocabulary aligned with the CCSS/state standards for grades K–2 and 3–5.
You will be able to:
- implement two evidence-based strategies to support CCSS-aligned vocabulary skills for grades K–2
- implement two evidence-based strategies to support CCSS-aligned vocabulary skills for grades 3–5
- link CCSS-aligned skills with IEP goals
