About ASHA Professional Development Webinars

Webinars are slide-based presentation and question-and-answer sessions that you can watch live at a pre-scheduled date and time. Can't make it to a live webinar? The programs are available on demand for one year (sometimes more) after the live event for you to watch at your leisure.

Technical Requirements

To ensure that your computer is set up for optimal webinar viewing, test your browser and view our system requirements.

Getting CE Credit

Although most states accept the on-demand webinar format for their CE requirements, we recommend that you check with your state before getting started. Detailed instructions for earning ASHA CEUs/professional development hours are available on the ASHA Learning Center webpage.

Handouts and Course Materials

Webinar handouts are usually available in the ASHA Learning Center one week prior to the live webinar. Follow the instructions on the ASHA Learning Center webpage to access the course to view the handouts.

Hosting a group webinar is not only a good way to save money, it also provides a great forum for you to network with your colleagues. You can choose to host a live or on-demand webinar, whichever works best for you.

A group registration entitles you to view a webinar one time, on one connection. Any number of people may watch and earn ASHA CEUs/professional development hours. The person who will act as group leader for the broadcast must register on behalf of the group. After registering, the group leader will be able to log into the ASHA Learning Center to download webinar instructions and allow the group to launch and watch the webinar.

After registering, the group leader should select a room appropriate for the number of participants in the group. The room should be free from noise and distractions and should provide space for attendees to write. Arrange to use a computer with Internet access and speakers. We highly recommend that you check the quality of your computer's speakers well in advance of the program. If you are hosting a webinar with a large audience in a large room, audioconferencing equipment will provide better sound and volume.

The group leader will receive additional instructions via e-mail, including an auto-enroll link to give to participants in the group. Each participant—including the group leader—must select the link to view handouts and to submit an online completion form to earn ASHA CEUs or professional development hours. Read our additional group leader instructions

The group registration option is a limited-time offer only available for the live webinar and the first year of the on-demand webinar.
