Liaisons with the Vice President for Speech-Language Pathology Practice
Founded in 1975, the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities (NJCLD) is a national committee of representatives of organizations committed to the education and welfare of individuals with learning disabilities.
The group will study the present status of identification procedures, interprofessional relationships in management of children with learning disabilities, and other issues of mutual concern.
The committee is composed of representatives of organizations committed to the education and welfare of individuals with learning disabilities.
ASHA representatives participate for three year terms that may be renewed. Term limits are determined by each organization.
Members participate in four meetings each year, two face to face meetings and two virtual meetings.
Members contribute to the development of resources, such as position and policy papers and infographics.
ASHA representatives are ASHA members with a special interest in learning disabilities.
