IES Announces Grant Writing Seminars

May 14, 2014

The National Center for Education Research and the National Center for Special Education Research of the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) invites new and early stage investigators to attend the Reading, Writing, and Language Development Grant Writing Seminar Series for New and Early Stage Investigators. Applications are due by May 19, 2014, and selected participants will be sent information on how to register for the 4-session webinar series.

IES announced the invitation to investigators on May 13. During the seminar series specific advice will be provided on writing successful applications to the Education Research Grants and Special Education Research Grants programs on topics related to reading, writing, and language development. The programs are the Institute's primary grant programs aimed at supporting research on improving literacy outcomes for students, including English learners and those with disabilities or who are at risk for disabilities or academic failure.
