ICD-10 Delayed Until October 1, 2015

April 1, 2014

It's official! The implementation of ICD-10 has been delayed until October 1, 2015.

The Senate approved H.R. 4302, which delays the ICD-10 implementation date to October 1, 2015. The bill also suspends the projected 24% cut to Medicare Part B payments and extends the therapy caps exceptions process through March 2015.

Due to the delay, ASHA's webinar—"ICD-10 Is Coming. Are You Ready?"—scheduled for Thursday, April 3, 2014, has been cancelled.

For questions related to the delay of ICD-10, please contact Janet McCarty, ASHA's private health plans advisor, at jmccarty@asha.org, or Neela Swanson, ASHA's director of health care coding policy, at nswanson@asha.org.
