National NSSLHA Scholarships

Undergraduate Scholarships

In spring 2018, National NSSLHA will be awarding 10 scholarships to sophomores and juniors in communication sciences and disorders (CSD) programs!

How to Apply

Submit your online application by noon, EST, on December 4, 2017. The application will ask for the following:

  • Your basic information
  • Two brief essays (300 words or fewer, each)
  • A recommendation from an academic advisor or professor

Hints for Success

Confirm the academic advisor or professor providing your recommendation is:

  • An ASHA member in good standing
  • Willing to provide the recommendation
  • Able to provide the recommendation (through our online form) between December 6, 2017, and January 10, 2018

Scholarship Details

  • Six $1,000 scholarships for undergraduate juniors
  • Four $500 scholarships for undergraduate sophomores


To be eligible for the undergraduate scholarships, a student must

  • be a current National NSSLHA member
  • be a sophomore or junior at the time of the award (March 2018)
  • hold a minimum 3.25 GPA (cumulative)

  • Academic Advisor/Professor Recommendation Forms Open: December 6, 2017 
  • Academic Advisor/Professor Recommendation Forms Due: January 10, 2018
  • Scholarships Awarded: March 2018

Graduate Scholarships

The National NSSLHA Scholarship, administered by the ASHFoundation, is available for for undergraduate seniors entering a master’s or AuD program, first-year speech-language pathology students, or full-time AuD students.
