I've moved 9 times over my 15 years as an SLP and military spouse. My life's work has taken me from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to Ramstein, Germany and many places in between.
Somewhere between Ohio and Texas, I discovered an interest in improving the communication skills of culturally diverse populations. My most meaningful professional experiences have been the result of immersing myself as a member of the community in which I was planted for each short assignment. Pure human connections.
I once described my resume as a road atlas, a list of places and jobs but I now know it to be much more than that. It's a culmination of the people that I've encountered, the lessons learned, and wonderful diversity that I've seen as a result of being a SLP at this time in history. I can't wait to see what the next 15 years bring!
